My dad didn’t believe me when I told him that Steve/Tony is totally canon. 

Then I showed him issue #3 of Avengers Prime—the issue with naked Tony, heroic Steve, and their glorious horse riding adventures.

While reading this, he just looks up at me and says, “Gay. They are so gay. Dear god, how did I not realize this before? Cap and Tony are blatantly an item.”

After that, he remembered the old comics, and realized that even those were slashy.
